New Year, New Faces, and New Towers

The York County Amateur Radio Society (YCARS) is kicking off 2025 with an incredible start! From a fantastic Winter Field Day turnout to exciting progress on our new towers, there's plenty of momentum to carry us into the rest of the year.

Winter Field Day: A Huge Success!

Winter Field Day was a blast! We had an amazing turnout of operators braving the cold, making contacts, and enjoying the camaraderie that makes amateur radio so special. Whether you were logging contacts, testing out new gear, or just there to soak in the experience, we appreciate everyone who participated.

Open House Wednesdays – Growing Community

Our weekly Open House on Wednesday nights (6–8 PM) continues to bring in new faces and old friends. It’s been great to see so many people coming together to share knowledge, work on projects, and enjoy the hobby. Whether you're a seasoned ham or just getting started, there's always something happening at YCARS!

Tower Progress – Climbing to New Heights

One of the biggest projects underway is the installation of our new towers. Progress is moving steadily, and soon we’ll have an even stronger station to serve our members and community. These towers will enhance our capabilities for emergency communications, contests, and general operations—making YCARS an even better resource for amateur radio in the region.

Come Join Us!
There’s never been a better time to get involved with YCARS! Whether you want to learn, operate, or just hang out with fellow hams, we’d love to see you. Join us every Wednesday from 6–8 PM at the clubhouse.

Let’s make 2025 a year to remember—new year, new faces, and new towers! See you on the airwaves!

73,
The YCARS Team
