YCARS Third Annual Food Drive

The York County Amateur Radio Society (YCARS) wrapped up its third annual food drive for Covenant Presbyterian Church, and the results were nothing short of incredible. Thanks to the generosity of our members and the community, we collected and donated a substantial amount of food to support Covenant’s Food Ministry.

A few years ago, YCARS moved our Hamfest to Covenant Presbyterian Church. During our Hamfest, we learned about Covenant’s Food Bank and Plentiful Harvest Kitchen. We learned how they help meet the needs of those facing hunger in our community. Our members wanted to support this mission, and that’s how the YCARS Food Drive was born!

YCARS organizes this drive each year as part of our commitment to giving back to the local community. What started as a small initiative has grown into a yearly event with increasing participation and impact. This year, donations poured in from club members and generous individuals who understand the importance of supporting neighbors facing food insecurity.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year’s food drive a success! We loved seeing all our members who dropped off food today and we are so thankful for everyone’s deep generosity and support! If you missed the opportunity to donate but would like to support Covenant Presbyterian’s food assistance programs, please consider reaching out to them directly. (Ministries | Mysite)

Together, we are making a difference—one can at a time.
